Tim Tebow: The worst QB to ever win a playoff game.
That's right folks, Tim Tebow is now officially the worst quarterack to ever win a play-off game. Sure there have been some bad QB's make the playoffs, and even win. But none have ever been this bad, and had so little chance of improving.
Tebow can't throw the ball to save his life. Whether it's a short five yard pass over the middle or a long bomb down the field it still looks the same. And it is bad.
Every pass he throws looks like he just tossed it up and is praying that someone will catch it, which is fitting based on how much his religion is thrown in everybody's face all the time. Just give that a rest. We get it, he's a good guy. But I don't care, it's not like he's the only good guy in the league. There are hundreds of great people in the league, they just don't flaunt it.
Even his numbers, outside of winning games favor my assertion that he is flat out terrible. His passer rating is around 72, his completion rating is around 45, and he has 19 turnovers when you combine his fumbles (13) and interceptions (6), all of that against just 12 touchdowns. Oh and he threw for just 120 yards a game in the regular season.
Fact of the matter is, he just kept getting lucky in the regular season, This shouldn't have been a 5 win team, let alone a playoff team.
So yes faithful readers, Tebow is the worst QB to ever win a playoff game, that is unless the 49ers win this weekend.

Lions playoff victory was just getting there
I know, I know, it's a bit cliche to say it, but it's true. The Lions didn't need to win the wildcard game against the Saints.
Sure it would have been nice, but it was necessary to have a successful season. The Lions this year were nothing short of spectacular.
Yes there were ups (starting 5-0 perhaps) and there were downs (The Suh incident) and there was some average play from the defense.
Ultimately what there was though, was a 10 win season, and the first play-off appearance in more than a decade. sure as a fan I wanted more, but I didn't expect it; and I'm not disappointed that I didn't get it.
This was not the Lions of old, this was a team full of life, and plenty fun to watch. The major upside though, is that outside of the ageless Jason Hanson, the entire team is young and only has room to improve.
And improve they will. Free agents will want to come here now that they know we can win. This team is a couple of linebackers away from being spectacular.
The only bad thing about this season is that the Lions will not be getting a top 10 draft pick because they played so well. I guess that's something that we fans will all just have to deal with.

Hoke's team downs Hokies
How sweet it was, Michigan, playing in a major bowl game for the first time in years, won the Sugar Bowl early this morning. The game ended about 12:15 a.m. and though it wasn't pretty, it was exactly what the Wolverines and their fans needed.
I know it's hard to say that Michigan is 'back' but they are once again players on the national scene. The smudge on the face the program that was Rich Rodriguez is gone. Brady Hoke turned out to be the perfect coach for this team.
Hoke managed to get the seniors to buy into his program, and they won. They won early, they won often, and in the end they won.
I won't scream about the officials, but a bad call against Iowa might have cost this team a chance at the inaugural Big 10 championship game, but that's neither here nor there. This team won 11 games, including the Sugar Bowl. Eleven games seemed like a pipe dream under Rich Rod, but one year later, under coach of the year Brady Hoke, 11 games seems like just a start.
So that's right faithful readers, Michigan is back thanks in part to Hoke's win over the Hokies.
